Headteacher Jonathan Miller Message

I am delighted to welcome you to the JFS alumnus web site. It has a number of new features. This includes a very full section on the history of JFS from 1900 until the end of the Second World War. It includes the memoires of one of my most distinguished predecessors, the late Dr Enoch Bernstein, headteacher from 1930 to 1942. A complete set of the School's newsletters during the Second World War has been published. Our Camden Town history section has the memories of many of our long serving staff.

The last five years have been one of the most remarkable in JFS's long history. The move from Camden Town was the culmination of years of hard work. No school in the country has moved from one local authority to another with 1500 students and more than 140 staff. I hope that many of you will have had or will take the opportunity to see the marvellous facilities at Kenton or use them at one of the many community occasions that are hosted by the School.

Alumni played an important role in the move, both in organising the final reunion in Camden and as most generous donors to our new facilities. Many of our alumni are now parents of current JFS students. We are also delighted that some of our alumni are on the School staff.

Our JFS Alumni Magazine is sent to more than 5000 homes in the UK, Israel, the States and the many countries of the world where JFS Alumni now live. If you are not receiving a copy at Pesach and Rosh Hashanah time please enter your contact details on our yearbook page of this website. We are delighted to stay in touch with former students.

You may be interested to know that the School also has its own web site with up-to-date news of educational developments at Kenton. This can be visited at www.jfs.brent.sch.uk
