Researching your JFS family roots.
JFS often gets requests for help in finding details about grand or great grand-parents who went to JFS.

One of the best resources is the London Metropolitan Archive. The Archive has copies of the pre World War 2 School magazines. These have articles by students, details of sporting fixtures, poems, reports on JFS theatrical productions and visitors to the School. If you had family at the School between 1900 and 1939 you may be fortunate enough to find details of family members.

In addition, someone ( unknown to ourselves) has made a pdf of the late 19th century school registers. They can be seen at the following website link.

The Moving Here website is packed full of fascinating information for those trying to find out more about the movement of immigrants to the United Kingdom.
